Fashion – Autumn Style

I started a new job in January this year, and after a year of being at home in maternity leave and existing mostly in tracksuit pants or jeans and jumpers, my work wardrobe was in need of quite the freshening up. Armed with some birthday and Christmas vouchers, I hit up my local Westfield to give my work wardrobe a bit of an overhaul. It’s my favourite time of year at the shops because I just love Autumn fashion. The jewel tones, the long sleeves, the boots, everything just looks so warm and inviting. It was hard to not drop about a thousand dollars in 30 minutes (which I have NOT DOUBT I could do. Easily). Here’s what I grabbed!

Witchery Textured Skinny Pant in maroon – $119AUD

I love these. They’re quite thick, so they’ll be great for Winter, and they hit my ankle at the exact right length. They are truly skinny all the way through the calf to the ankle, which is often something I struggle to find in trousers that are hip-hugging – they then balloon out at the calf. They have a side zip and an elasticised waist, so hello comfort, and the colour is gorgeous. I’ve already worn them multiple times with some new blush wedges I bought, and my black flats, so they’re very. versatile. I’m already planning to go back and get the navy blue version – a colour I’m having a bit of a love affair with at the moment, if I’m honest.

I’ve been trying to update my wardrobe a little bit lately. I think it’s because we’ve reached that point in Winter where it feels like it’s never going to end, I’m going to be stuck inside forever, and I’m never going to wear anything except fleecy hoodies and tracksuit pants for the rest of my… Continue reading ->

Fashion – Winter Jumpers

French Connection Stripe Varsity Knit_THUMBNAIL

I’m on maternity leave this year, so my work wardrobe is enjoying its holiday in my drawers for the next little while. However, now that we’re heading into the cooler months, I realised all the winter stuff I wore last year was largely maternity clothing or regular clothes that I bought slightly larger to accommodate… Continue reading ->

Spring Sandal Edit – Luxe and Less

I recently did a wardrobe clean out and threw away literally every pair of sandals I own. Every single pair. They were all at least three years old or more, some of them had straps that were wearing out or broken (but the sandal itself was still wearable), and a lot of them weren’t really… Continue reading ->

2016 Emmy Awards Fashion Hits and Misses

Emmy Award

Resurfacing after an unscheduled blogging break to bring you the Emmy Award Fashion hits and misses! We’ve had a tough month of sickness in our house, and though I wasn’t sick as my husband and daughter, I feel very run down and exhausted. So this year’s Emmys red carpet was a welcome breath of fresh… Continue reading ->

Crafty Lady – Girl’s skirts

Girls skirts THUMBNAIL

I’ve been annoyed at little girl’s skirts in shops the past two Winters (and Summers, let’s be honest). They are usually about as long as the bottom of their bum cheeks, and even with tights on in Winter, they’re still too damn short for my liking, especially on my four year old with long, long… Continue reading ->
