You guys. I have a new obsession and it’s pretty obvious what it is. Bomber jackets. I’ll be honest, it took me a while to come around to them, but suddenly they are literally EVERYWHERE and I can’t get enough of them. I bought an olive green one a while ago and now I’ve got my eye on a floral one after seeing an actress on TV wearing a cute purple floral one with a white tee, jeans and sneakers. I think they add a nice pop of colour to an otherwise plain jeans ensemble, or in monochromatic colours pull together a chic black and white outfit in a subtle way.
I’ve been looking around online for the perfect floral bomber jacket, so I decided to do a quick post for anyone else looking as well. Here are my favourites, from left to right.
BooHoo Katie Oriental Flower Bomber – $21
I’m not enthused about the use of “oriental” in the title, but this floral bomber is cute, colourful, and an absolute steal at twenty one bucks!
Glassons Satin Bomber Jacket – $20
Another cheapie, I love the midnight blue satin look. This would pair nicely with a white tee, black jeans and ankle boots for a casual dinner out with friends.
Target Lily Loves Bomber Jacket – $25
This black bomber would look fab with a light wash pair of jeans or olive tencel trousers. Or pretty much anything else, since it’s basic black!
Sportsgirl Sequin Wing Bomber Jacket – $50
I love the back of this – I get a very Samantha Jones vibe. Chic at the front, edgy at the back. A bit of fun for a night out with the girls!
Dotti Bomber Jacket – $80
This is the exact jacket I bought a few months ago, but got it on sale for about forty bucks I think. I like the olive green because it’s versatile and will go with blue, black and white jeans this Spring/Summer.
Seed Tencel Quilt Bomber – $90
This pale blue gives the jacket a softer look and the quilted aspect is still practical for cooler mornings. Super cute and super on sale right now!
Asos Missguided Tall Floral Brocade Bomber Jacket – $109
Another floral bomber that I love. I also love that this is from their tall brand, so gals with long torsos (like me) won’t feel like they’re wearing a cropped jacket. I would style this exactly as it is on their website – jeans, white tee, and probably some white sneakers. Perfect for a day time coffee date or park play with the kids.
The Iconic Bliss Bomber by Huffer – $229
By far the most expensive of the group, I had to include it for its Pink Lady vibe. The striped cuffs and neck almost give it a baseball jacket look, but the blush pink softens it. A little bit of sugar with a little bit of spice.
Happy shopping!
Until next time,
