Once again life has been busy, so no smoothie last week unfortunately. But this week I was seized by the thought that Summer stone fruit is going to disappear from the shops soon, so I bought a peach and a nectarine spontaneously to enjoy during the week. But then I remembered how much I enjoy peaches ‘n’ cream flavoured things and decided to use the peach in the smoothie instead!
Peaches ‘n’ Cream Smoothie
1 ripe peach (I used a yellow peach)
Half a cup of milk (I used almond milk)
1 quarter cup of freshly squeezed orange juice
1 quarter of a cup of vanilla Greek yoghurt
1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
Some nutmeg or cinnamon to sprinkle on the top
Throw it all in the blender and pulse until the peach is pureed. Drink and enjoy!
I quite liked this, though I think it wasn’t thick enough. I would have used another peach if I had bought one, to really increase the texture and bring out the flavour of the fruit. It was a really nice, light enjoyable smoothie, and I would happily make this again!
Oh, and yes, that is a working phone. Cool, huh?
