Golden Globes Fashion Hits and Misses

I LOVED all the colour this year! But first:

How adorable are these two?

Love the yellow on her, do not love the sculpted boob holders. There’s always gotta be one, doesn’t there?

Kaley Cuoco NEVER gets it quite right. At least she just flat ironed her hair and left it at that. I wish she had jumped over the pond instead of wading right through it on her way there, though.

I love this. I’m not sure if it’s sheer at the bottom, but I don’t care. The subtle red and the texture look so sharp. It glittered on stage, and it’s a win for me!

Jennifer Lawrence duct taped her torso for some weird reason, and someone on Twitter did this:

And I laughed and I laughed. Now I can’t see anything else when I look at her.

Tina Fey gets it right (but is the cape necessary? I can’t decide – please weigh in!)

Paula Patton’s dress couldn’t hold in its sneeze another minute. That is one giant fabric loogie.

Drew Barrymore glows as a pregnant lady, but I do wonder why her she has bits of crepe paper stuck all over her. Some kind of nursery prep crafting accident with a hot glue gun? Lovely colours, though.

Effortless black and white chic from Zosia Mamet, who so often puts A LOT of effort into looking like she rolled out of a hipster’s dirty laundry pile. This is gorgeous and lovely on her.

This is such a pretty colour on Sarah Hyland, and the style is lovely and feminine. I just do not understand what her eyebrow stylist was thinking. Were they coloured in by The Count from Sesame Street? Like, “Vun eyebrow, TWO EYEBROWS, Mwah hah hah!” That person must be fired immediately.

This is my favourite neutral of the night, but unfortunately Kate Mara’s TREMENDOUS BOOB SMUSH ruined it for me. I actually feel uncomfortable when I look at her bust.

Emma Watson is wearing a dress over pants. ON THE RED CARPET. A DRESS OVER PANTS. She is fired from Hollywood. That’s it.

Taylor Schilling was thisclose to being my best dressed. The green is stunning on her, I love the soft folds of the fabric, and she seemed so excited on the red carpet…..

….but then I saw Helen Mirren.

and it was a no brainer. The Queen reigns supreme, my people.

Who did you love/hate on the red carpet?

Until next time,

    Lol @ Kaley’s puddle jump.

Elisabeth Moss’s dress is fine, but her hair looks like mine after a week of camping.

I liked Tina Fey’s A LOT better when I thought it was a ball gown on the red carpet. The butt cape nearly ruins it for me (and this dress was going to be my favourite of the night, too! Nuts).

I’m one of the few who thought Emma Watson’s was cool and worth the risk.

Still haven’t decided on my fave of the night yet, but maybe Sandra Bullock? Loved the colours and I’m a sucker for a big skirt. Thus I also loved Kate Beckinsale’s and Julianna Margulies’ gowns.

I would have liked Sandra Bullock’s more if it was floor length. I think it was an awkward length, but the colours on black were nice on her.

Kate Beckinsdale looked gorgeous. It was her usual style, but the texture and colour lifted it a lot, I thought.

First, there was so much bad hair in all that! It’s like half of them went down for a nap and woke up with it flat on one side, and kept going.

Love “sculpted boob holders’ haha Aren’t they shocking? And it’s a no from me for Tina Fey’s cape. It’s the ugly cousin of the mullet dress. Same with the girl who wore that red shoulder cape dress. Looked like a costume from Star Trek.

Kate Mara’s neckline doesn’t make me feel as uncomfortable as looking at that dreadfully unfortunately placed “yoni” fold at the front! Am I the only one that sees it??

Yes, the hair was pretty lackustre, wasn’t it?

I loved Tina’s on stage dress, I thought it looked so lovely on her.

Thank you for introducing me to the word yoni – I honestly had never heard it before and had to google it just now. Of course, now that’s all I can see when I look at her dress!

I thought this year’s dresses were pretty boring and really struggled to find some favourites. I loved Helen Mirren’s by either Cate Blanchett or Margot Robbie were my picks for best.

Ugh, Lena Dunham. I like nothing about her and that dress is made even worse by her disgraceful posture. It wouldn’t kill you to have a little deportment sometimes.

Margot Robbie looked gorgeous. It didn’t grab me at first, but definitely grew on me. Lena Dunham needs to get a stylist, ASAP.
